A retrospective posting for this one. We haven't been here for a while, but have always enjoyed our visits. Although we always manage to time it when the The Farmyard Picnic Cafe is closed.
Update on the The Farmyard Picnic Cafe which we finally managed to visit when it was open. It was really worth it. Lovely service. Coffee served in cafetieres.
We had a couple of cakes. One was a delicious lemon polenta (great for the gluten free) and an exceedingly chocolatey cakes. We didn't try the savouries but will next time.
A very pleasant and worthwhile visit and we also pick up our favourite flat mushrooms from the shop which are scrumptious on toast cooked with butter, pepper and garlic - yum.
